Sometimes love means letting go.

Getting rid of things tends to be a lot harder than acquiring them. I thought of this often during a September of remote work in Montreal, because the back porch I shared with a neighbour had a big cardboard box on it whose magic-marker label revealed its purpose:

The operative word – somehow – made me smile. Now that we're so conscious of the life cycle of objects, sending them to their next destination is a devilish problem.
