Micro-decorating move #1: miniaturize

Whenever I visit Stylegarage on Ossington, I'm bewitched by the latest developments in Canadian design – and reminded of an unfortunate fact: the piece of furniture I desire the most is not for sale.
It's a set of wooden blocks for creating configurations of the Mix modular seating system. It's meant to be a prototype that lets you experiment with possibilities before ordering the real thing, but I think of it as furniture in its own right. And I want it.
Why? I can't quite articulate the reason. All I know is that when I'm on the second floor of the showroom I'm magnetically drawn to wherever it happens to be placed on that visit. I admire the latest arrangement from above and wish I could take it home with me – every single block.

I do own some full-scale pieces from Stylegarage that bring me great joy – so why does this ever-changing maquette keep teasing me with its unavailability?
